“Ready steady go”
Pill on the tongue.
Big glass of water.
Put your head back.
Ruby was diagnosed with leukaemia In mid March. She had really not had any medicine in her little four year life. And now she was faced with challenge of swallowing pills.
We were told by the nurses to practise with Tic tacs and Mini m and ms. The video above is when she mastered swallowing a mini m and m. Go Ruby!
So many medicines that Ruby has to take are pills. Some you can crush and mix in ice cream. Some you can dissolve and drink with a jelly snake chaser. But some you have to take with no food. And that was when Ruby decided she would learn to swallow a pill.
Now Ruby is in stage two of her treatment and swallows a pill every night. She is my super star that I love to pieces.
