Waiting

Ten nights and counting.

Ruby and I have spent ten nights in hospital waiting for her neutrophils to go up.

We came to hospital with a fever of 39 at the end of week three of stage two of the protocol.

Everyone said we did amazing to get that far. I thought we were pretty amazing. And now we have crashed and burned. Boo!

Before now I had never heard of neutrophils. Never knew we had them and was certainly never waiting for them.

Now we sit and wait for them to rise.

And as I was typing Ruby spiked a fever of 38.1 and then 38.4.  So now we wait to be fever free for 48 hours and for neutrophils.

Thinking we might be here for a while.
