Let it wee …

This week we are back in hospital. It is the start of stage three of treatment.

My stomach is in a knot that we have to be back in here. More poisonous chemo for my baby girl. This time high dose methotrexate over 24 hours followed by three days of wee. The chemo is so strong and so potentially damaging to Ruby’s body they weigh her wee to ensure it is getting flushed out.

She must do a wee every four hours. So I have set my alarm to wake her to wee. Otherwise it’s more medicine to do a wee and I know Ruby does not want that.

Not expecting much sleep this week.

This happens four times over the next two months. A big side effect is mouth ulcers. Please let’s not get those. And keep the fevers away too. We deserve a dream run in stage three. Please!
