Spring is here. I am so over winter and the bugs. I hope that Ruby stays well now as the weather gets warmer and the flowers bloom.

Friday 1 September was not only the first day of Spring but the launch of Childhood Cancer month. We were honoured to go to the opera house and be present for some incredible speeches from brilliant minds – scientists and oncologists – and a boy Reuben who is 17. He spoke beautifully about the horror of cancer the disappointment it has caused his life – preventing him from playing his Bass and play sport – he cried – I cried. And as I cried, Ruby sitting on my lap – she put her hand on my arm and rubbed it saying ‘it’s ok’.

She is so incredible. Just so knowing and loving and fun.

A beautiful Night of Gold.
